YMCA Internship Program
• Provides intern practical experience by observing and
participating in day-to-day conduct of projects related to
fields of interest.
• To provide opportunities for application and development
of professional methods and skills through actual practice.
Emphasis is placed on developing competence in basic
professional methods such as analysis, fiscal management,
planning, record keeping, promotion, programming, teaching,
member services and evaluation.
• To provide a wide range of experiences and observations in
the chosen area for the internship. This diversification
becomes an invaluable guide as the intern chooses a
professional path that best reflects his/her career goals.

Full and Part Time Lifeguards
Brooks Family YMCA
Requirements: High School Diploma, Current YMCA certification preferred,
ARC or Ellis accepted. Applicants must possess and maintain current CPR/PR,
First Aid, AED, Oxygen administrator, and certifications. Lifeguard
certification courses are also available.
Responsibility: Looking for Lifeguards to patrol indoor and therapy pool
at the new donated Brooks Family YMCA. Lifeguard will be responsible for the
safety of members and guest using the facilities, check and record water
chemistry levels, maintain pool area cleanliness. Work Hours between: Monday –
Sunday with times varying between 5:00 am - 10 pm. Pay rate: $8.00 + depending
on experience.

Requirements: Minimum of a high School diploma required with 3-5 years
related experience and demonstrated knowledge. ADP experience is a plus.

WELLNESS
Wellness Director
Williams Family YMCA
10415 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville FL 32257
Description: Full time Wellness Director. This position will have
total responsibility for leadership of staff team, financial accountability,
volunteer development and program development.
Responsibilities: Job expectations include/not limited to analysis of
program needs and development of programs, interacting with members in order to
develop strong relationships, consult with members about exercise goals, and
design exercise prescriptions that promote the five components of fitness, among
other tasks. Other responsibilities include managing systems to ensure
professionally conducted fitness orientations, taking members through services
offered through the Consultation Cards, cleaning equipment, maintaining an
organized Wellness Floor, and working on various projects that promote
health/wellness.
Requirements: CPR/AED/O2 Certified, Nationally Recognized Personal
Training Certification and a 4 year degree in an exercise related field. A
strong work-ethic and leadership and personal skills necessary to interact with
the members at the branch is also required.

Part-Time Yoga Instructor
