The Bryan and Marty Jennings Daystar opens its doors
at the Barco Newton Family YMCA. In 2000 the YMCA of Florida’s First
Coast, partnering with Baptist Association for Special Children & Adults (BASCA)
built Daystar, the only pre-vocational, recreational, and rehabilitative day
treatment program for the severely disabled in Northeast Florida. Now with the
help of community donors Daystar will open at a second location, the Barco
