3rd Annual Treadmill Tuesday Challenge
UPDATE: More than 3,200 Floridians logged nearly 6,700 miles today in the 3rd Annual Treadmill Tuesday YMCA event aimed at encouraging healthier lifestyles. Congratulations to Tampa Bay for surpassing Jacksonville. It was a close one. Tampa Bay had the edge by just 21 miles with 3,358 miles logged by 1,630 participants. Here on the First Coast, 1,580 participants completed 3,337 miles during the 12-hour event. In addition to participating at their neighborhood Y, community members were able to join the competition from other locations via social media. Of the 3,210 participants, 52 joined by uploading a post-workout photo of treadmill dashboard or running app summary displaying the total distance, tagging @FirstCoastYMCA or @TampaYMCA, and using #TreadmillTuesday.
